In the sun sun sun
Feb. 26th, 2005 05:54 pmWell, that goes to show how much the pressure of an exam situation can make you stuff up. I completely fucked up the reversing around a corner in my MR exam. But I just did it in the troupie with no problem whatsoever.
Voted today. Voted Greenies, no better options. All pollies are bad in my books, but then again, I am an anarchist at heart.
Getting into the new Koontz book, Life Expectancy. He seems to have learned how to write again becuase so far it's been pretty gripping, unlike bloody The Taking which pretty much sucked.
Helped out with a shorebird tour today, just helping the guests ID Great Knots and Grey Tailed Tattlers and Terek Sandpipers and stuff. Also saw my first Lesser Crested Terns out there, saw a few too. I think Ricki will be a pretty good mentor for training us up for this. Chris seems to be pretty sure of himself but I'm not so confident, hopefully leading tours and stuff will change all that. Ricki also got an idea today about intensive weekend courses, which could be great if they manage to go ahead.
Bloody gecko barking in the shop behind me. Up here is the first time I've heard geckos make a sound, the Asian House Gecko's here make a right racket at times tho. Oh, and I've now seen 3 frilled-necked lizards, saw the BIG one this morning near the bird-baths, pretty speccy.
I'm the only one on tomorrow and I have shitloads of stuff to keep me busy (and hot and sweaty and exhausted). Fun fun fun!

Date: 2005-02-26 10:51 am (UTC)But I want shopping hours 24/7 like over east. I want to be able to walk down the road and buy fruit at 2am like I did in Adelaide. And 24 hour Subway! *bliss*

Date: 2005-02-26 11:14 am (UTC)I remeber 24 hour kmart in Sydney... they are so spoiled!
Still, I felt a little guilty with all that advertising about small business. Still, it's not like all their uniqueness is taken away; they can still trade 24 hour, or all day sunday.
*waits for results excitedly*
