gemfyreToday was a combination of work and slacking off.
What did we get done... the "staff" room is a lot cleaner and clearer now. The fridge has been restocked and the boxes stacked. All the junk has been thrown out. A table is currently set up with a puzzle on it that Chris is working on, he reckons he should have it finished by tomorrow night. He's like you Matt, into puzzles and stuff. We also listened to music while doing that cleaning (Ricki was in town, so the Assistant Wardens played. :) They Might Be Giants, Whitlams and U2, very nice.
- Bins have been cleaned out and put back in their places.
- Freezer got defrosted.
- Bummed around a lot in the middle of the day, which Ricki lets us do because you can't really do much in the really hot part of the day. We just sit around in the office or shadehouse and chat or read or something. I read a good bit of Life Along Land's Edge today, I'll buy myself a copy soon. That book is a pretty good overview of what I'll be needing to tell people on tours.
- Also finished reading Shadow of A Dark Queen, I think that's the title. I just call it "Erik's Tale" because that's pretty much what it is.
- Found out Chris's fave band is the Whitlams, he has much cool MP3s AND loves Phantom of the Opera. I think we will get along famously while we're both up here.
- Set the dog trap, meat was off, pretty gross. At least we took some time out to check out the beach afterwards.
- Going into town tomorrow, lots of errands, and I need to replace this bloody dicky CD player.
I also need to write an article for Flyway, the BBO's zine.
And that's about it. Ask me questions and I shall answer, but as for writing good entries, it doesn't seem to be happening at the moment. By the time I get to the computer my brain is fried and I just want a shower and to go to bed.
