The wet begins?

gemfyreThis morning I was ready to head into town all on my own in the Troupie, then the heavens decided to open with a rumble and a crash. The lightning was like strobes and there was no way I was driving in that torrent with pretty much no 4WD experience. So we were stuck here for a few more hours then I drove into town with Ricki to pick a few people up and doa few errands.
One of those was for me to go to Centerlink and sort out once and for all if I was elligible for any payments while I was up here. And the answer is no. Because I choose to work a low income job that's my problem. You must be looking for work to recieve any payments, and I really don't have the time to do that here. Oh well, I won't be coming home rich, just with a lot of experiences.
Now another storm is on the way and the connection is being dicky, so bye for now.

We have a real mix of people here. We have old (bordering on 70) and young (around 10 years old). Hard of hearing (you just need to talk loudly and clearly around him), hearing impared (you must speak directly at her so she can lip read, her speech is also that of someone who has never heard clearly in her life, which takes getting used to), insulin dependant diabetic, a woman with one hand. It's just neat to see all these people interested in one thing and they all converge and do this netting buisness with finesse.
