The definitive list
I have NOT eaten.
Thai Food - Well, I'm not sure. I think Thai food is too hot for me.
Clam Chowder - I have eaten seafood chowder however.
Cream Tea - Nope, it seems that this is the same as Devonshire tea which I certainly HAVE had.
Alligator - I am likely to try crocodile during my stint working up north however.
Guinea Pig - WTF? Hey, I'll try anything once. :)
Reindeer
Durian
Haggis

Date: 2004-12-21 03:45 am (UTC)I dunno if I'd try guinea pig... I MIGHT. I'll leave it at that. : P
Durian (http://www.syzyx.com/koguma/album/Satok/durians.jpg) is a weird kinda fruit (the picture's from a friend of mine who lives in Malaysia). Evidently it's really "heaty" stuff and can give you a sore throat, and you're not supposed to have it with alcohol or you'll die!

Date: 2004-12-23 04:17 am (UTC)Guinea pigs are commonly eaten in latin america, especially among poorer people. They let them scuttle around the kitchen eating vegetable scraps. When they get big enough it's time for the pot.
Mind you, latin american guinea pigs are really quite huge compared to the pet variety...
If you get a chance get a copy or borrow from the library "In the Devil's Garden: A Secret History of Sinful Food"... It's great!
