I really should check myself over for ticks. I was crashing through some real tick country this morning and everyone was saying they inevitably get ticks there.
i had a tick on my head, in all my hair once when i was little. scared the shit out of me and i refused to go outside for a like a month.. bleh... it was creepy especially since my dad said there was a bug in my head like drinking my blood. sheez iw as like seven! *shakes head* you dont do that to a seven year old *laughs at memory*
Check now- and if you get them an easy way to get rid of them is to use a set of tweasers and pull them out by their butts- however if they have burried themselves under the skin coat the spot with vasaline on them and smother them and they will pop out in a few hours.
of course the BEST thing is to BUY SOME BUG SPRAY like OFF and not GET THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!! :-).
here ya go folks- proof positive that I am a backwoods arky girl... I know what to do about ticks!! yea!!
Blech! I hate ticks. I've never had one, never even from the woods here in Michigan, but when we visit my fiance's family in Missouri, in the woods, you have to check for ticks before you go it. Just from the car to the house. I saw one all fat lying on the floor (we think he was on the dog) and just about lost my mind. They freak me out.
