bwahaha!! I love it!

(is it sad that I still remember enough calc and physics to "get" it??)

I don't get all of it. But I know enough to figure it out.

It basically says "Merry Christmas. Ho Ho Ho."

I know the force/acceleration is mass and I'm assuming the rsquared is 2 rs.

The rest I just kinda figured out by looking at it.

Oh yeah, and I hate maths.

I guess just running in science circles some of it is familiar.

2.71... is "e" (the mathemitcal constant), r2 is the same as "rr", (1/y)2 is "y"

sqrt(X2) is "X", force/acceleration = mass.

If you ignore the spelling error (mass instead of mas) you get:
Merry Xmas

Indeed. That's why I became a linguist. ;o)

Gah, the typo faerie struck again: "mathematical", obviously.

hehe, love it.

why is it so easy to see it after about 8 years of no maths or physics...

maybe its time to do some more again...

And now you understand why my mother still shudders at times when she reads "Foxtrot". It's not that she doesn't find the strip funny: it's that the scars are still too new.
