I've obviously got my finger on the pulse of the nation's conscience. Or whatever that daft metaphor is. Or not.

I didn't bet. I should have perhaps. They asked me if I wanted to at work. I said no. Why did I say no? Cuz I am suspicious of gambling. I don't trust it. You give money in, you *might* get money back. Doesn't seem logical to me.

Yeah and the bigger risk you take the more you'll get in return but you're less likely to get anything at all.
