Something I forgot
Oct. 30th, 2004 07:07 amOn Thursday I saw a bobtail move the fastest I have ever seen a bobtail move.
It was crossing a road in the uni carpark and being swooped by wattlebirds. If they moved that fast all the time they'd probably be roadkill a lot less often.

Date: 2004-10-30 02:33 am (UTC)They usually lay in the middle of the road to soak up some heat so they can get moving around for the day, cars move pretty damn fast in comparison to a cold and barely awake lizard so they don't have much of a chance.
We could go out and lay bitumen in random spots around the bush and desert thus leading to less lizards baking themselves on the roads and less roadkill but I'm sure someone will get upset at the tree clearing that would be involved.
