I think I come in as just over weight for my height, but I don't see myself as hugely fat. I stacked on a massive 20 kilos in about 6 months after I started taking the pill and every time I weight myself (which is every once in a while) I seem to have put on an extra 5 kilos. I'm hovering around 80/85 kilos at the moment, I just keep telling myself the scales are wrong because to me I don't look or feel bigger.
I actually feel a lot better about myself lately. I take a decent walk at least once a week with a birdwatching club and when I watch TV I bounce on the mini-trampoline during the ads. Once I lost my job (I turned 20, and suddenly became to old to pay anymore), I didn't have the money to afford things I used to do like ice skating regularly. I would join a gym but at the moment that's also cost prohibitive. Next year I'll have finished my degree and be looking for a job, then I'll have enough to money to exercisey things again.
I would dearly love to get rid off some of my butt and thigh fat and my pudgy stomach so I can wear nice clothes again. I've also got some fat in my chin/neck area that I want to get rid of. I love my shoulders, back, upper arms, boobs and calves.
I love my food and will not give it up. If I have to be a little overweight for that so be it. But I believe if I'm determined I can find an exercise routine to suit my consumption. I don't eat only junk food, I just eat and love food in all it's varied glory. So seeing as I'm not willing to consume less calories, I'll just have to burn off more calories.

Date: 2004-09-07 05:56 am (UTC)As I said before, if you eat too many calories per day the amount of exercise you need to burn them up is far more than you can realistically be expected to do. You have to balance out the exercise with the calories or you might as well not exercise at all, because its not going to do you any good.
Still I doubt you eat *that* much. ^__^

Date: 2004-09-07 12:13 pm (UTC)If you want to go walking or something I'm up for that but I only walk for about 1/2 hour.
The only reason I exercise is so that I can eat the yummy fun things without guilt. Rock on!
