do you realise how hard it is these days to find someone who likes mushrooms, and more so, likes mushrooms by them selves? (and if they are raw thats an even bigger shock) I am like one of the only people I know who LOVES mushrooms!

I used to hate them when I was a kid but I've now seen the light.

Those mushies are steamed, not raw but I don't mind them raw.

I like them best sauteed in butter. It's great on toast.

and how! they taste great like you saiud,. BUT with a bit of garlic aswell, makes them a billion times better!
plus as a summer snack, if you rip out the stalk and full the center with cream cheese!

I also hated them as a kid - slimy - but as an adult they are divine, as long as you don't overcook them!

BTW - I am hungry and that pic makes me salivate....

ewww mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well..I like mushroom sauce..like you know on meats etc...but not the actually squishy...tough....fungus thing.

Hehe, there's a whole community for doing such a thing - food_porn.

My b/f and I often take photos of the meal when we eat out and do a review in our LJs. But lately I've been cooking and baking a lot and it just looks sooooo good I have to take photos and show off. :)

I do think that too, but I have to say that the gravy mustn't touch the mushrooms, it will ruin thier taste.

I like mushrooms... But then of course, Ive never had REAL mushrooms... just the kind you get all mushed up on pizza. Not like, a real meal of mushrooms lol. Looks great, Gemfyre! I just had some nachos and cheeze for my dinner, but now I feel like something real lol.
