Okay, we have a problem.  There is a chronic troll on a message board I frequent.  The problem is she is on AOL so her IP cannot be banned without banning many decent AOL users.  She creates new nicks as quickly as previous ones are banned.

Maybe if I could find out her e-mail address or something would somebody be able to devise something that crashed her system or made it damn hard to use and was untraceable to the person responsible?

This girl does not deserve to have a computer at all.

You know, even if it was traceable to the person responsible. . . I doubt anyone would go so far as to defend Lexi by punishing you. Then again, maybe Lexi could do something back, so maybe not. ^_^

Hey! I'm on -- and love! -- AOL.

But I do agree, the aol thing with the IPs is HORRID. I adore Nickskitten and Satinslipper for doing all they can in deleting her comments. She's a pain in the ass and all the while people rise to her bait, she's gonna continue to be one :(

Yup.

We need a big flashing "IGNORE LEXI OR ELSE!" whenever someone logs in or something.

Or what would be brilliant is some program that just deletes her posts as she posts them. Then no-one would ever see her posts to talk about them or to go "Oh good it's deleted". And it may leave Lexi wondering too, at least for a while, because she wouldn't be banned, just gagged.

hacking her box is technically illegal. but finding out her email address and signing her up for much in the way of spam is always fun, and hopefully she'll pick up a virus from one of them :P

set up a nice big post telling everyone annoyed by this person to ignore this person and everyone who gets riled by this person to jes not bother responding coz they are stupid and not worth the time and effort. we got one of them on one of the boards i hang out on but because its a small community everyone pretty much ignores her. she hasnt gone away but she hasnt posted annoying stuff for a while either coz nobody cares :)

The "just ignore the troll" thing has been tried again and again. There are just too many (stupid) people on the board that keep feeding her.

Yea but you can't just ignore some of the asinine things she is doing. The latest that I had just seen is taking to giving someone we know bad feedback under a name she just created tonight based off that poor woman archer that's heading to the olympics. That is seriously bad imho. It's not just stupid comments now, its actually attacking someone's character :(

Can you trace her IP? If so, you could find her house, and then hit one of the websites around that has satellite photos of the whole world and send her a zoomed-in photo of her house, with a little message saying "Fuck off, signed, www..com."

Alternatively, you could print out a picture of goatse and mail it to her, if you can find her address.

She's on AOL - dynamic IP and she knows it, she's always reconnecting so it changing.

And I think she's seen goatse plenty of times, even if she has it wouldn't bother her, she'd probably post about it on the (G-rated) board to rile people up.
