AMP will contribute $1 to Greening Australia for every 'click' it receives on their website by 20 August 2004 (up to $10 000). You don't have to give any personal details, you just have to visit their website and click on a box, that's it, and they will give $1 to Greening Australia, so please spread the word!

The money raised will go to the Glossy Black-Cockatoo project on Kangaroo Island, SA. There are only 280 of these birds left in the world, they are critically endangered.

Please visit the AMP website and click till you can't click no more!!...

I've modified my program to click it every 6 hours instead then. Probably more polite than hammering them was.

Would that maybe crash the site due to the traffic?

I was hitting them at a rate of about 40 hits a minute maximum. It'd would have to be about 1000 hits a minute before it could possibly became an issue. Unless they had some infirmity in the network infrastructure already it shouldn't really be possible for me to overwhelm the web server with (at a guess) 10% of the bandwidth available.

Unless some bored IT tech was personally looking at the logs for the 90 minutes or so my script was running I doubt they even noticed.

Okay.

You know more about how those things work than I do. ;)
