I wish there was an easy way of saving your LJ.

I know there is a way, and I will do that for now but it saves it in a weird ass format, I have no idea why.

I just can't stand the thought of losing all I've written.  All those memories.  I don't get how people can just erase their journals.  To me it's a part of my life, a part of me, I couldn't stand to just lose it all to the whim of technology.

I'm just dreading the thought of all the servers holding livejournals being destroyed or something... and all that personal history from everyone, however trivial, will go with it.

Logically, it shouldn't be too difficult to make a program that logs lj posts. I mean, you can log chat convos. And my journal is damned important to me, for maybe the same reasons you have.

I've been thinking about that a lot lately. LJ is my life... it simply encompases three years of my LIFE. Ups downs, the lot.

What's the way you've found to save it?

I can erase my journal because there is hardly anything in mine where my whole heart and soul is in it.
