The cat from a few houses down often comes to visit us and lately Warwick has been letting him in.

I dubbed him "Flufferbutt" but now he has a collar with his name and his name is Bilbo Baggins.  I knew another cat called Bilbo once.

Anyway.  At the moment he's curled up on my bed asleep and I was scritching his ear and he was purring and doing that kneading thing with his front paws and SQUEE!!  I am being catified! :)

I feel whole when there is a cat about the house.

"I feel whole when there is a cat about the house"

ain't that the truth! a house can be full to the rafters but with no cat seems empty. *nods*

i read this book, something along the lines of the feng shui of cats that was all about felines being energy balancers and such. it was quite an interesting read some of the time. it got me in trouble one day tho, at this volunteer ladies luncheon (hoity toity blah) anyhoo it was at this one ladies house and she had a cat and natch there was one non cat lover attending and also natch said cat went directly to her and sat in her lap. well the conversation came round to why cats do this and i before i even thought i blurted out i was reading this book and cats naturally gravitate to the most unbalanced place or person in the room to coif up the chee so to speak...well you can imagine how well that went over. blunderful me and i was surprizingly never invited back. rude americans and such hooha they said...it was the book! not me!

Lol.

I will post pics when I get my computer up and running. This old computer can't do any fancy stuff like photo editing and uploading.

He's not quite as cute as my Phantom but he's a kitty 'round the house and that's always good.

I definately agree with that, and that thing about cats being a balancing energy. Now that I have a hyper bundle of puppy around my house it makes me miss owning a cat even more. I need that warm furry lump sleeping on the furniture to balance the mad dashes up and down the corridor of my dog!! (and I am aware that cats dash about like idiots too, I have owned kittens!! I still think a cat would balance nicely with my dog!)

"...dogs and cats liveing together! mass hysteria!"

(btw i'm a geek)

i find dogs and cats to be the best of companions, get a kitten, you will have joy all the days of your life!

Apparently, if you get a kitten + a ferret, the personality of the ferret makes the cat stay kitten-ish even when its all growed up!!

you know i'm not sure that would be a good thing at times, lol!

ferrets i've heard are pretty darn good little trouble makers and kittens too, they get into everything, tho i'd bet you'd be laughing your butt off 24 / 7.

i'd love to try a ferret, as they can be litter trained and such but i've been told they need a LOT of attention in their waking hours and i want to be sure i can be there for the ferret if i do commit...
