What the hell is wrong with my computer?

Things are crashing left right and centre.
Outlook, IE, ICQ, Paint shop, any other random program you can name.

When I reboot sometimes it tells me there's something wrong with the registry and the goes to fix it and does.
Outlook randomly decides to chew up my inbox.

An AVG scan says my computer is clean (AVG is updated) and I've run a Spybot search and got rid of everything it found (of course it's always back as soon as I scan again).

What the HELL is going on?

its a windows box. very easy for things to go wrong. you probably do need to reformat reinstall unfortunately. if you have a cd drive it shouldnt be a problem :P

if you need to back stuff up see if Rat has some spare hard drive space you can use for a little while so you can reinstall n stuff.

before reinstalling try adaware (cant remember the website, a search should turn it up quickly tho), i use it and that permanently gets rid of stuff that shouldnt be there (i think my windows box is wanting a reinstall as well, i jes refuse coz i cbf :)
