I have an assignment to do, it's due in about 3 weeks.

It's a "literature report" - which pretty much translates to "essay with shitloads of referenced material in it".

The topic I have chosen is "The possibility of microbiol life on Europa".

Apparently I'm meant to be able to access full journal articles via the Murdoch Library but so far all I've got is abstracts and error messages.

Not to mention my brain just doesn't want to get in the mode for it, I just want to make lots of jewellery and sell it.

I can see myself in 3 weeks time still where I am now and in even more of a panic.

I hate theory stuff. Give me practical work any day.

but if the murdoch library is anything like
the uwa library *shakes head*
well...
all the articles i'm hunting down atm
seem to be in journals the library hasn't renewed
it's subscription to!! argh.

It's more the electronic library i think, and that makes it more of a problem with having to deal with the murdoch website, which is horrid and not user friendly in any way shape or form

Do you guys use FirstSearch at that library? That's where I can always find the most stuff. And once you have found a few recent articles just look at their referances and you can use those - its much easier that way :)

One person's nightmare and all that. When I was your age, I was PRAYING for the opportunity to go to college so I could write on that subject. You wouldn't mind if I wrote that for you, would you?

I love the topic. It's just putting together an essay about it (and finding and reading and referencing journal articles about it) that I hate.

I use Proquest for all my assignments. Its the best and its got huge amounts of full text articles. Although its great for me who does Business related stuff, i'm not sure if it has stuff for your areas.
