I have new Docs. :) They smell good.

Docs are now made in China instead of the U.K., which is kinda sucky but it has caused a price drop (labour is so much cheaper in Asia). I budgeted $200 for this pair and bought them for $169.95. The 10 holes were only $20 more (still under budget) and I almost bought them.

I bought black ones, easier to find polish and they go with everything. My purple Docs were size 8, these are 7 1/2 which is kinda weird.

And they came with a complimentary Doc Martens walkman radio, which is cute. The other option is a wallet, but it wasn't a design I liked so I got the walkman. It has a light on it. I seem to be acquiring a lot of knick knacks with lights on them recently.

OMG!!!! they even have half sizes!!! I remember my first docs were size 7's because half sizes were rearly imported then and I was so stoked when in melbourne I found half sizes!!!

I might buy myself a pair of cherry red docs... I have always wanted them

I was tempted by the coloured ones.
But black is good, it goes with stuff and is easy to polish.

Finding purple polish was always a pain and it was expensive.

I always wanted Docs except I found them to be a bit too expensive and I dont like wearing things without heels of some sort.

They're worth every cent.

My purple ones lasted a few months over 7 years before the toe finally split.

And they will continue to serve me as reef walking shoes.

I'm not sure if the price has changed but when I bought mine 9-11 years ago (I have 3 pairs of 8 eyelets) they were only about $100.00. I got one pair on sale for $70.00. I still have all three of them and a pair of 3 or 4 eyelets I have. I have a black pair, eggplant purple pair and green pair in the 8 eyelets (the green is by far my favorite just because of the way it fits) and the 3 or 4 eyelets is a navy blue.

May I just say in tones of extreme smugness.... I paid $29 Au for my last pair. They are kiddy docs though they don't import adult docs in my size.
