Amenities Fee
Nov. 4th, 2003 01:40 pmDoes anyone know where I can put in feedback/complaints to the uni?
I finally paid that bloody amenities fee today because my results were blocked.
Now, I'm all for CSU, but only when people can afford it (many students can't, remember, most of us are below the poverty line), but I paid a full degree Guild membership when I started uni because back then I had money and could afford it.
Now due to the changes I get slugged with ANOTHER fee when I can least afford to pay it, I'm about to move out of home, not a cheap undertaking!
The Guild does give degree members a voucher every year worth up to $70 but still, that's only half the yearly amenities fee.
People who did a good thing when they started uni and signed up for degree membership are now getting slugged $70 a year which they didn't expect to have to pay, it's completely unfair and I wanna complain about it!!
*rahrahrah!*

degree membership
Date: 2003-11-08 03:53 pm (UTC)AT UWA those who paid a degree memebrship got a part refund when the A&S was introduced (eg if they had paid for 3 years & only got 1 they got 2/3 of what they paid back). Does the $70 voucher work out to be more or less as what you paid upfront to start with?
Could also whinge to your local MP given it was the government that introduced the A&S.
