I'm watching Australian Idol tonight.

Shannon - his voice is nothing special, he fucked up Hey Jude... bleh And he doesn't articulate.

Guy - What a freaking weird voice!! It alternates between being all high and girly to being normal R&B style. And he's amusing to watch... Wow, that rendition of Climb Every Mountain was pretty damn good tho!

Cosima - She's a Perthite so she has that in her favour, she's pretty, and she has a nice voice though again nothing hugely special, at least she nails her songs... Poor chickie sounds like she has a cold. She could have done better on that last song.

I reckon Guy will win because he's different and interesting.

I *really* hope Guy wins. Cosima has a strong voice, but she does not have the stuff for stardom, it is plainly clear. That's not a cold she's got, that's the beginning of vocal nodes. She screams so loud that she's abused that voice and it's going to collapse under it all. It practically did tonight. It's a damned travesty that she's still in the competition. Paulini should *NOT* have been voted out.

Guy is great cause he doesn't take the usual R&B Warbling too far. It's not OverWarbling. I HATE IT when they do that, but he uses it properly. He starts little and ends big and plain. He uses light and dark, shade and volume like a painter. This is why he sounds weird - he uses his voice properly, and in different ways throughout the song, which singers NEVER DO anymore! (I'm passionate about this, can you tell?)

And I have nothing to say about Shannon. Go back to the pub mate.

Cosima...shouldnt have made it this far, she's not as sexy as they say...and yes, she's abused her voice.

Shannon? it will be either him or guy that wins it, and I do believe guy looks like the winner. Why? Shannons the typical aussie country bloke, rugged, "hard" singer, got the distant look but is a softie at heart.

Guy should win though. He has by far the best vocal talent out of those three, and he's a better performer too.
