Last night was very pleasant. Went over to Sair's for dinner. I made sushi for entrees, Matt made brownies for dessert and Sarah managed to whip up this awesome plum chicken asian veggie stir fry thingy that looked awesome and tasted great. All this while watching a ?? DVD.

It was all very very yummy and filling. We then watched American Pie and ate the brownies. We need to do that again sometime, but Sarah really needs a couch and a dining table.

Today on the way home I made a detour and took a bit of drive around Lockridge. I started on Rosher Rd. That side of the school has barely changed, neither has Rosher park or Barlow Crt child care centre. The storm water drain on the other side and the bus stop though, wow, all done up, instead of a fenced drain it's got nice sloped sides now and is all open with a new fancy bridge across it. The house with the jungle in the front yard is still there though. Went through Arbon Way, the old alley that linked Lupton Crt and Arbon Way was closed a while back because morons used to do stupid things in there, like once when someone drove a car through it, even though there are poles at each end to stop that kind of thing. The thing that really amazed me about Arbon Way was that the empty block I used to play on with my little plastic animals, is still empty!! I was tempted to get out of the car and have a good look around and see if I could find any old abandoned toys of mine there.

The old Four Square deli on Diana Crescent is gone, there's some complex of buildings there now for some buisness or another.

Went back around Sturtridge to Lupton. The old units on Sturtridge have been done up a lot. The duplexes up the top of Lupton haven't changed but the units on the other side is all done up. Our old house and the neighbours house are both a mess now. But there is a front fence at our old place now. I'd love to be able to take a good look at the place. The end of Grimrey Park has been "chopped off" to make room for a few more houses. Lockridge has changed so much since I grew up there. *sigh*

My brother and sister went to Lockridge SHS but I didn't, which sucks because they had a farm and all and I would have LOVED that.

We moved to Greenmount in late 1990. I finished year 6 at Lockridge Primary then did year 7 at Greenmount primary. Went to high school at Swan View.

I was a founder student at Lockridge. (Yes , I am old!) That was before it was a farm school, but it was always innovative. I did woodwork and tech drawing in a time (mid 70's) that it was very much not "what girls did".
