Certain songs remind me without fail of certain holidays. The songs, years and associated holiday are all attached.
Most recently Big Log by Robert Plant and Undisclosed Desires by Muse remind me of my trip to Shark Bay back in March.
Sweet Surrender by Wet Wet Wet, Escaping by Margaret Ulrich, Slice of Heaven by Dave Dobbyn and Herb - all remind me of Broome.
Hazard by Richard Marx reminds me vividly of our 1993 trip to Albany.
Many 1989 classics like I Won't Back Down by Tom Petty, Like A Prayer by Madonna and Eternal Flame remind me of our trip down south Albany in that year.
Girl I'm Gonna Miss You by Milli Vanilli and pretty much the entire Hangin' Tough album by New Kids On The Block remind me of going to netball in the late 80's.
Praying For Time by George Michael, Vision of Love and Love Takes Time by Mariah Carey and Pray by MC Hammer all remind me of moving house and waking on hot Summer nights and being frightended by the sound of the easterlies howling through the roof.
I could go on. But I'll leave it there.
