There are so many auto-immune diseases among human beings. Why? Why does this system, evolved to protect us from infection, often turn around and attack us instead?

Maybe because we so often try to bypass it's role with medicines, transplants, surgery, whatever.

I don't think the human immune system knows what it's meant to do anymore. It's probably thinking to itself, "Fine, you think you don't need me eh? You think all these pills will do the job better than me? Well fuck you then!" *CHOMP*

heh, sometimes you just can't write things in a proper, objective, scientific way. Oh well. Lucky this is LJ and not a peer reviewed journal. *grinz*

I think our AIS is going the way of our appendices. It's scary.

I won't even take Advil if my back hurts, because of how I feel about overmedicating.. but the rest of the world, which isn't being so cautious, is just making the diseases stronger. I have to be careful what I do just to keep up my immune system to fight off other people's mutant bacteria.

It also dosn't help with so many governments making various strains of these diseases either. Not to get all conspiracy theory on you.:)

And when it's not saying, "fuck you then" and chomping you, it's saying, "bored now", and creating allergies for itself to try to fight.

*shakes head at the general craziness that is a human being*
