I am shocked

I come home and find the cats in the yard - no great surprise. But Bella is crouched over something and mewls at me proudly. She has the remains of a wattlebird. Lil is grabbing a few bits here and there.

Apparently there were a few wattlebirds doing laps in the yard and Bella inside was going quite spare over the fact. Matt figured, "Hey, she could never catch a bird," and lets the cats out.

Next thing he knows she's at the door munching on a dead birdie. She ate it!! The whole damn thing... well apart from a few feathers. I guess she didn't let it go to waste at least, she's not getting any dinner tonight, she's already had a good square meal.

And I don't think we'll be underestimating her hunting ability again.
