When there is space in the bin, we will gradually get rid of all those branches in the side garden.

Then I will buy a heap of potting soil (anyone know how to go about guessing how much you need for a garden bed?) and place about 10cm of that in the garden bed.

Then I shall plant veggies!! Broccoli and zucchini and lettuce and silverbeet - oh yes! And I'll stick Jakie's abandoned futon bottom against the fence and grow peas and beans up it!

Eeee, I am excited.

Y'know, it's been 4 months since I did my knee.

I had planned to be in Broome right now.

*sigh*

I has mango lassi. :)

Want the recipe? Tough if you don't.

Mango Lassi (sweet style)

Get yourself a blender - I use a stick blender but a normal one works just as well.

Grab a mango and remove all the flesh and put it in the blender.
Stick around a tablespoon of sugar in there.
Sprinkle some ground cardamom in there.
Top up with buttermilk. You can dilute it with plain milk if buttermilk is too thick or tart for your taste (the sugar and mango sweetens it down - but the fermented, yoghurty taste is essential).

Blend it all together and enjoy! Yummo. Hrm, mine needs more cardamom.

I'm in the process of sorting out and organising all my loose recipes I've pilfered from newspapers and magazines and fliers and such. We had a huge pile of seafood recipes from when we grabbed one of each recipe available outside Seafresh Seafood. Was over 100 recipes in all - they've now been sorted and stapled into exercise books for ease of use. Other recipes are in those books of clear slips for papers and stuff. Still undecided as to what to do with the small fliers and recipe books that are too small to shelve like regular books. I'll figure something out.
