Okay, so, the bike at physio. I managed to get all the way around going backwards, but it was slightly painful and I maybe did it 3 times a session.

Second session on the bike the first thing I did was push down with the good leg and the momentum took the bad leg right around (forwards), which was a shock to me and Jamie (my physio). I couldn't repeat the trick conciously however, could still only go around backwards with trepidation.

The bike at home, could only go back and forth, not all the way around.

Yesterday was perhaps my 4th session on the bike. Went around backwards a few times, still felt weird. Then I must have shifted my weight or something, because suddenly going backwards wasn't so much of a challenge. Then I went forwards, slowly, slowly. I can't quite put my finger on when the shift happened, but suddenly I was pedalling properly, forwards, and it was relatively easy. I had such a ridiculous grin on my face you wouldn't believe.

Okay, so, this morning I bump the seat on my home bike one notch higher and, whaddya know? 5 minutes of pedalling forwards. I never knew it would feel so GOOD to exercise. This is a great leap because the bike provides good exercise for all those wasted muscles without having to put too much weight on the knee, and the motion will increase blood-flow to the joint, thus helping it heal.

I also bought some arnica cream last night, everyone tells me it's great for joint pain and bruising.

Yesterday I was overjoyed to be able to wash the dishes. Today I will attempt to tidy the litter trays (I think I'll succeed), and do the washing (biggest challenge will be moving the washbaskets). On the weekend I want to find a quiet car park and attempt driving. THAT will mean I can pop down to the shops to get things. *squee*

Soon, I will make that stock that I've wanted to make for the past 3 months.

Maybe Nan will get her crutches back for her 80th birthday (which is next week).

Meme for you.

Everyone has things they blog about.

Everyone has things they don't blog about.

Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on lima beans, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. I reserve the right to filter appropriately.
