Decisions decisions...
Jul. 18th, 2005 05:34 pmI have the chance to go to Bush Point later this week.
It will involve a day of...
- Getting up BEFORE the crack of dawn, and I'm not sure when I'll be getting home.
- Walking about 5km through soft sand - this is my main concern, although my fitness has improved, I'm still soft around the edges.
- Being out on a vast expanse of sand for something between 5 to 8 hours.
- Dealing with great clouds of sandflies.
- Being slathered with sunscreen and insect repellant and being somewhat uncomfortable all day.
- Seeing awesome numbers of birds and just seeing an awesome area.
Ricki tells me even SHE wondered if she'd survive. But she WAS there in November, which would be a lot worse than July.
