It's a spy for the evil Quokka Army!

AKA - a tawny frogmouth sitting in one of the "gardens" all morning. He's on a log on the ground and let us get really close. He's just an exquisite bird.

Also - checked out Roey Karaoke last night. Many people that can't sing. Crap song list. Free drinks for singing. I allowed Chris and Stuart to get free beers in return for waiting around until I had a chance to sing. :)

And on the way home we saw an... ECHIDNA!! Awesome, my first wild echidna.

This morning was warm. And humid. And overcast.

"Hrmm, some of those clouds look like they may bring rain."

The wind whips up, the temperature drops.

"Ya know Liz Rosenberg says it always rains on June carnival."

We feel a few droplets, then a steady, light stream of rain begins.

It has now been drizzling for an hour or 2, it's bloody awesome.

*Flashbacks to the wet season*
