I slept WELL last night!
I can breathe this morning without needing to cough!
My nose isn't dripping!

And my dilemma of whether to watch the opening ceremony or go birding (which I decided to watch the ceremony because the weather is crap) isn't a dilemma at all because it turns out that birding trip is tomorrow.  *hopes for good weather*

OUCH!

I hate it when I go to blow my nose and the tissue gets my eye.

I think it's the dryness and fibrousness of the tissue that makes it extra painful.

Opening Ceremony

Funkee.  Psuedo-nakedness.

Lots of shades of green.  Aussies weird green, India's lovely forest green, and I think it was Argentina in that striking apple green.

One moment that really hit me was just the flagbearer from Palestine giving the peace sign.  I think that said it all right there.

The fall of the runner symbolising the World Wars was pretty haunting as well.
