Dream a little dream of me...

I just had two wierd dreams.

The first was Buffy based, which is freaky. Willow and I were sitting in a room just chatting and somehow she notices that I'm not wearing some really important pendant/talisman or whatever and gets all panicked. Then she says she knows where we can go to fix up this problem (whether this means getting a new one or finding the missing one I'm not sure). I get all dread filled and before I know it we're crawling down this low passage, the passage is spiraling down and very low and carpeted in plush grey carpet (weird). I have trouble getting through because I'm wearing big clunky Doc Martens, she comments she wore soft, bendy ugg boots to make it easier to get through. Eventually we come to the end of the tunnel and there's a cliff to one side and the other side is pretty much like a lecture theatre but outdoors. Willow goes off to talk to someone important and I notice lots of people I know sitting around, one of them being Wendy who drags me up to her desk and starts pulling out ponies she wants to sell (ack, it HAD to turn into a pony dream!) Of course I grab Glow and notice she has all these petites and there is another girl also perusing the available ponies. It takes me so long to realise that these are petites I don't have (and sets I have never heard of before like sports petites - which are weird, they have a kind of inset 3D symbol on their bodies - and some other set with flowers I think (with multi-coloured symbols). The other girl grabs about 2 of the flower petites and I grab the rest... Again, there was more in this dream but it's pretty much forgotten, mum woke me to say she was heading to work.

The next was a dream about volcanoes. Pretty awesome. We were on some excursion and went to a volcanic area (active, but not erupting). We were told to keep to the paths, but me and a friend didn't. Eventually she fell through some soft earth and I had to pull her out and we dashed back to the path (which amazingly was completely safe). The lecturer who had taken us there (bizarrely enough it was Ron Wooller) asked us "you went off the path didn't you?" and we were like... yeah... He didn't get pissed off tho. However he did note (as we were watching another family clamber around off the paths near the summit of one of the hills) that bulges were forming on the tops of the hills (actually, some weren't hills, they were more like cylinders with flattened tops). Eventually I noticed this an before we knew it one blew and splattered lava about and two tiny bits got my leg. So I dashed off to the public showers to cool them down. There was some more to the dream but it becomes foggy, somewhere in there was Jade, who came along while I was cooling the burns on my leg...

Anyone have any interpretations??

gah!! Don't anyone take this personally but I can't believe how damn NARROW fundamentalist conservative Christians are!!!
You can explain to them all you like about how faith and science can interact perfectly and it only proves that God is a whole lot more mysterious and complex than we all thought. You can hand them all those great books like Rocks Of Ages by Stephen J. Gould...

But they REFUSE to listen and they won't even open your book because it's not what the bible says. That is that, NO opportunity to think as an intelligent being at all...

And then there's those poor brainwashed kids (sorry, but that is the best way of putting what the whole thing looks like to me) that cannot understand the difference between science and non-science.

It just dismays me to see that there are still people on this earth so hungry for power that they will completely brainwash their children and try to do the same to anyone else they come across...

I don't know if my God is the same of yours but at least mine permits freedom of thought.

Why would a God who is so correct allow us to question what is written about him??
I can see something like this...
God reads the Bible and thinks "Crikey, bloody editors/publishers have completely RUINED my book (as they do) and now the message is completely different to what I wanted to convey. Lucky my clever little humans are able to find things out for themselves and learn that this book is wrong is places."

But they REFUSE to listen and they won't even open your book because it's not what the bible says. That is that, NO opportunity to think as an intelligent being at all...

So much for it's usefulness. Oh, and you can't use the nifty stuff it does have when updating previous entries, hence this whole new entry.
