Saw Signs last night finally.
Man that is one fucked up movie!! Strange how even tho it's now been out for ages I had no idea what was going to happen next. It was a pretty darn clever movie, just focusing on one family like that and stuff. And I knew that was a Culkin kid!!

What else?
I am dog tired, had to get up at 5am this morning, actually got up at 5:30. Start at 7am at uni. Same tomorrow but tonight at least I will get to bed early. Last 2 days have been cool. Catching birds (mainly New Holland honeyeaters) in mist nets, banding them, taking measurements, releasing them. Noting foraging behaviour, taking transect counts, sitting around chatting, it's all kinda slack. Today I banded a brown honeyeater - these are the things Phantom has a habit of bringing in and they are sooo teeny. When I rush them to the vet after I've got them off Phantom I usually just cup them in my hand and they're fine, but of course a perky one from the banksia gardens has to be held properly and they're so weeny that there's nothing to hold on to!!

Tomorrow we are mist netting down near the swamp on campus. Hopefully will get a lot more interesting species down there rather than just honeyeaters and the odd wattlebird. Heard silvereyes, butcher birds and shrikes down there so hopefully we'll get lucky and catch some. 7am start but apparently finishing around midday, hooray!! Then my "week off" begins. Entertain me people.

Oh bugger, I am the most uncatlike cat

I wanna be a Leopard!!!!

I'm a Lion!

For you, simplicity is the name of the game -

even your fur is uncomplicated. You're always looking for

an opportunity to relax, and you shy away from anything

that seems to be more than you can handle. Still, you can

really do whatever you want... After all, you're a lion!

hehe it's 1995 again!!

Listening to Soundgarden's Down On The Upside and mourning their passing. Never The Machine Forever just played. Any song which uses the word "ferrivorous" has got to be cool. I have no idea what ferrivorous means but it sounds awesome.

They so rocked my socks at the '97 Big Day Out, why oh why did they have to break up??
