hehe, I've told this story many times but I don't mind telling it again.
My younger cousin also had ponies. Like most kids she sold off her collection, but she let me take a few from her collection first. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing her dream beauties and petites, but I did grab Baby Dancing Butterflies and Sugarberry. Back then I had no idea who they were or that they were rare.
Then for my 17th I semi-jokingly (because I'd really never wanted to stop getting ponies) said I wanted a My Little Pony. My auntie (the cousin's mum) gave me a crystal horse and in the box was Baby Love Meldoy MIP (again, I didn't know who she was, just that she was a pony). I took her out of the pack, put the ribbon in her tail and displayed her on the shelf in my room with the crystal horse.
Of course a few years later I started collecting again. My auntie took another look around and found *da-dahn!!* Baby Up-Up And Away. By this time I knew very well who I had. She was also MIP and I took her out and put the ribbon in her tail. She must have ordered them but only given 2 to my cousin. I'm not sure if she ever ordered bub Milky Way and Sweet Tooth but I never got them from her.
Baby Milky Way I found in a St Vinnies, which must be the worst op-shop for toys. She was in a HUGE bag of toys which was $6 all up. They wouldn't let me just take the pony so I bought the lot. In the bag there was also a Fashion Star Filly, a koosh ball and a slinky which I kept, and a bunch of other toys, a plush lion my brother-in-laws dog took a shine to and she still has it. It has been repaired many times tho. :) My sister took some for the childcare centre she worked at and some stayed here for my nephews to play with.
I later found another Baby Milky Way, she was in terrible condition but only 50c. So I bought her and traded her to Stockings, who restored her beautifully.
Now I just seek a Baby Sweet Tooth, preferably around the same price I got my other TAF bubs for.
