I've realised lately that I have been writing fanfiction most of my life. If only in my head. For many years I didn't really think it was a legitimate form of fiction because it used other people's ideas, hence I didn't write down much of it, just made long sagas in my head.

Some of my most memorable "fanfics"
The Bon Jovi one (Sarah will remember this one, "Gusty!")
One based on the whole JFK assasination (I was briefly obsessed)
Young Guns
Robin Hood
American Gothic (this one was when I was I learning that fan fiction actually existed and many people wrote it, not just me)
and now something X-men'ish

Those are the ones I can remember best.

So yeah, now I realise this is a legit form of fiction and I am not the only one making it. So... who knows, maybe I will stick some online, now I know it's not worth just cringing over and that others write much worse than I do.

What do you mean by "legitimate"?

Let me just say.... Fanfiction rules!

LOL, I got seduced by it years ago. ;)

And yes, I remember Gusty :) :) I remember most of your originals, too. Do you remember Damia and the Gibson desert fiasco? I shudder to remember that my first FF was a RP fic. Well at least it didn't involve the Backstreet Boys all screwing each other, and describing it in very explicit detail. (eww, eww, EWW!)

And you know what? I just remembered I wrote a Robin Hood (POT)fanfic too. Wonder if I still have it.

Surely you'll have heard of FFN, but if not, www.fanfiction.net They have tons there, and maybe 30% is worth reading.
