Today I had a brief altercation with a "Poti Putki", which is a nifty device for planting tree seedlings. It resulted in my right thumbnail being split a few mm, some of it over the bit of nail that is still attached to my finger. It's also bruised and bled a bit. I'm keeping a band-aid on it so it doesn't catch on anything and tear right off.
Apart from that today was pretty easy. Drove to Pingelly, checked out Martin's house/tree nursery which was lovely. Drove to Les Marshall's place, chatted to him, had morning tea at the study hut. Put the plants in the ground higgledy-piggledy (which is how it's meant to be). Drove around Tutanning so Wanda could have a look. Decided Wanda's nickname would be "Wandoo". Drove back to Narrogin and by that time it was 4pm - home time!
So I came home and started another batch of ice cream and made a yummy lentil dish for dinner - it's quite pleasant when I burp, I get the taste of all the spices again. I'm getting obsessed with this simple Indian based food. Pretty much - take basic, boring food item - add various spices - consume and enjoy.
