I meant to write this last night when I got home, but the computer was off and mum goes spac when I go online late at night *shrug*.

Anyway, at bowling (by the way, I bowled crap last night) I tried the Woodchoc Magnum ice cream. Gods, that thing was death by chocolate. Milk chocolate layer, white chocolate layer then mud ice cream *droolz*. Probably the best of the Sixties Nine that I've tried so far. Also tried the John Lemon (I thought it would have lemon sorbet in it, but it was ice cream with bits of sherbet in it, weird and kinda icky.) Peace Mango was nice, pretty much the same as the previous mango one they released. Chocwork Orange was cool (that mud ice cream again!) but the orange chocolate was a bit too sweet. The Woodchoc is the best so far. But they are $2.80 a pop!!!

When I was driving home I put Hooked On Classics on. That (those) album(s) are great driving music and MUST be played loud to give justice to the orchestra. Pity I only have it on cassette so all the noise comes through.

I love orchestras. I think I gained an appreciation of them when in year 5 our teacher used to play us classical music during class, and sometimes tell us to just close our eyes and concentrate on the instruments we could here. You got your strings with the violins and double bass and my favourite, the cello. Brass - trumpets, trombones, french horns, tubas (last night I noted the tubas being used for the bassline instead of the double bass), saxaphone, bugle... Percussion - drums, timpanis (oooh), those little windchimey thingys, and all your little stuff like triangles and tamborines and the groovy clip clop thingys and giros!! haha I love the name of giros (pronounced gweerow). Woodwind - clarinets, oboes, other stuff that I forget the name of... actually, I think technically the saxaphone is classified as woodwind because it has a reed *shrugs*, not sure. And then you have piano and the occaisional acoustic guitar (which are also strings, yes, the piano is classified as strings, have you ever looked inside one??). Then you get the ultra groovy orchestrations that combine electric guitars and moden instruments with full on string/brass orchestras *shivers*. It moves me to tears sometimes listening to them. They sound so bloody awesome.

gah, I know I know. I was listening to more on the way to uni and I was like "damn I forgot the flute!!"

I'm sure there's another brass instrument as well.

I also remembered a stack more instruments.

I love the sixties Nine! I only have two flavours left to try, the Mango and the Woodchoc.

I was dissapointed with the John Lemon, I was hoping for lemon icecream but lemon in the actual chocolate was kinda weird. Same issue with the Cinnaman on the Moon... cinnamon icecrema would have been nice, but chocolate? A bit odd.

I LOVE Candy Warhol though :D It's so bizzare, and the musk icecream is nice! I think Cherry Guevera was nice too(though a bit rich for me), and Jami Hendrix... ooooh, and Guava Lamp is yummy :D I'm not really a big fan of chocolate icecream though, so Chocwork Orange was average to me ^^

From memory saxaphone is a wind instrument. I played the clarinet and the saxaphone players sat behind me which was part of the woodwind section :)

yeah, wind/reed.

It has more of a wail than the big brassy sound of most brass.

UGH!

Actually Death by Chocolate is a cake made by the Cheesecake shop. Magnums are refered to as 'Chocolate orgasm on a stick'.

And when you are here in October I will make *my* chocolate cake and then you will understand that neither of the above are death by chocolate!

Yay for the Candy Warhol!! Gotta love those pop rocks! I wouldn't have thought that musk icecream would be nice, I am not too much a fan of the musk sticks...but it was gorgeous!
