The ocean, she calls to me

gemfyreSwam at Cable Beach today - the only time I have managed to do so in the almost 8 months since I got here. It was divine - the ocean always is.
I have lots of deep and meaningful stuff that I never write about here. At least it's recorded on my lappie so I don't forget it.
It's all getting kinda sad and final today. Met Nic a few days ago and farewelled him today - he lived up the Ricki hype. Watch out for the upcoming TV series, DVD and album - "Nic and Rick Bop the Top". Which is a ridiculously appropriate name. 'Bops' are birds of prey, Nic works with them at Taronga Zoo. They will also be a focus of their trek over the top of Australia on the way back to Sydney - although any bird gets a load of attention from these two. And they sing, incessantly, often birdified versions of songs. It's hillarious and wonderful and I want a copy of the DVD.
Also got given Ricki's reference today, must thank her for it. It's a nice reference.
So, I am alive. Wish you were here, a beach party at Cable Beach would have rocked my socks today.
