Customer #1 - A man and his wife.

Man does the talking.
- He comes up asking if where's George. I explain that we are not George Swann's outfit (Kimberly Birdwatching) we are Broome Bird Observatory.
- He "doesn't want to take a 2.5 hour tour". I offer a baywalk, nope he doesn't want that either.
- He wants to be picked up at 3:30ish and taken on a "special tour" to "watch the birds as the sun sets".
- I explain we can't do pickups for less than 3 people, he says he's willing to pay "$100 or so".
- He tells me that he wants to see the shorebirds gathering at dusk "As I assume they do."
- I explain shorebirds are most visible at high tide, night and day mean little to them.
- He then asks if he'll see magpie geese! I explain that seeing as we barely had a wet season this year, the lakes on the plains are dry and thus the magpie geese are not around.
- He then makes to leave, but says he still wants this evening special tour and I get his number and say I'll speak to Ricki (my boss).
- Ricki can deal with him tomorrow - I still don't really have a clue what he's exactly wanting.

Customer #2
- Guy rings. 5 people want a tour tomorrow.
- They want a discount rate.
- I say I'll talk to Ricki and get back.
- Call back, explain no tours tomorrow due to cannon netting. Shorebird tour available Monday, $50 a head, which is the normal price.
- He says "We have our own bins, scopes and morning tea, and there's 5 of us so can we get a concession."
- I explain that we are a non-profit organisation and can't give concessions like that out. I wonder why they are such tightasses, it's a damn good cause the money goes to. I don't explain that 5 people on a tour is nothing special, a few days ago we had 13 and that was after a few couldn't make it.
- He talks to his friends about it.
- He tells me it'll be 2 for the tour. His other 3 friends must be really tightwads. Their loss.
