Is there anyone sewing-oriented down in Perth who would be willing to make a bunch of gaiters for us? I was thinking maybe Sair or Kitty would be able to do it for a quick days pay (around $100 - price is negotiable, depends on materials cost and stuff).
Gaiters are those little sock protector things. Just a bit of cotton with elastic in the top sewn together to pull over your foot and sit over a boot. (Kitty - your sister probably knows exactly what I'm talking about). I'm not sure about Perth, but Coles up here sells them for $2.30 a pop. If you bought one pair as a guide or borrowed some of someone to use that would work.
They're made of either cotton or cotton/polyester (reasonably stiff material). Greens and blacks are good.
I was thinking Sair may be most interested seeing she's one of the gainfully unemployed at the moment. We'd need about 20 pairs.
Anyway, if anyone's interested gimee a hoy and maybe work out how much they'd cost to produce and we can go from there.
