Well today was an honest day's work.

- Cleaned the bathrooms. Feral honeybees in the lower female toilets getting water off the showerheads. Avoiding that block for the moment, don't like stingy bees. On the other hand I'm quite used to all the native stingless bees and wasps around the place now. They check the place out but have no interest landing on you and don't possess stings anyway.
- Emptied bins. Pretty darn gross, Chris said he almost threw up, it did smell pretty rank.
- Finally saw who we think was Kenneth, the resident king brown snake. He was lounging near the ground level bird bath. Didn't seem interested in catching any of the doves that almost walked over him, so he was probably just resting while an earlier unfortunate dove digested. A few days ago I got a good look at the Stimpson's Python who also resides in/near the shadehouse. I'm still to see the bloody frilled-neck lizard.
- Washed the Troupie! My God I should have taken photos to show you the work we did. That car was a lovely shade of pindan orange, now it's white. We washed it, and thought "Wow it's white!", then we polished it and it's now even whiter. Hell of a job, was amusing though because Ricki (her day off so she just supervised our car washing) got into a philosphical discussion with Chris and I, at least that aleviated the boredom of polishing a huge 4WD which will just get covered with mud again very soon anyway.
- The went out onto the plains hoping for a red-rumped swallow and not getting one. Was pleasant anyway and saw lots of red-backed fairywrens and LOADS of terns among other things.

And once again, I can't wait for my shower!
