Lacking Inspiration

Erik looked at Elisabeth in amazement. He had thought she'd never return to keep him company.
"You never visit me anymore..."
"I'm sorry Erik. I've been so busy. I am now the dancing instructor, and I have a daughter to take care of." Elisabeth smiled to herself. "I daresay my Meg is the best student in the class..."
"Tell me about your students." Elisabeth glanced at Erik, a little taken aback by the sudden curiousity but glad to have something to brag about.
"We are one of the most prestigious ballet schools in France Erik. I may be biased when I say this, but I daresay the two best dancers are my own daughter Meg and my adopted daughter Christine."
"Adopted?"
"Her father died when she was seven years old and she came to live here. Such a solemn, lonely thing she is, I couldn't help but take her under my wing. When she dances she truly shines."
Hrm. I know what events need to take place for the story. It's just fleshing them out. Right now I'm trying to figure out exactly how Joseph Buquet discovers Erik. I imagine they meet when they are in their early/mid teens. And Buquet is a bit of an asshole even then.
