1. Fresh fish - Well of course I've eaten fresh fish many times and hope to do so a lot while I'm in Broome. I intend to go fishing as often as possible.
2. Lobster - Lobster is nice, but I don't see why there is so much hoo-ha over it. It's way too expensive.
3. Steak - There are people who haven't had steak?
4. Thai food - Apparently I have tried some Thai food. Pad Thai is okay. I don't like satay.
5. Chinese food - There are people who haven't had Chinese food?
6. Ice cream - GOOD ice cream, like Gelare or Great Australian Ice Creamery or Cold Rock.
7. Pizza - I've had good pizza and I've had really crappy fast food pizza.
8. Crab - I adore crab. Again, in Broome hopefully I will get the opportunity to eat loads of mud crab. *droolz*
9. Curry - I have discovered that a good non-hot curry is AWESOME.
10. Prawns - Again, it's crustacean/seafood. It's gotta be good.
11. Moreton Bay Bugs - Another of the overpriced crustacean/seafood goodies.
12. Clam chowder - I haven't eaten clam chowder but I have had some lovely seafood chowders.
13. Barbecues - Barbecues are a little to crunchy for my liking, all that iron and bricks. Food cooked ON a BBQ however is great and an Aussie institution.
14. Pancakes - Who hasn't had pancakes?
15. Pasta - Who hasn't had pasta?
16. Mussels - Now we move onto the mollusc seafoods. A big bowl of garlicy, tomatoey mussels is awesome. And they look like girly bits!
17. Cheesecake - I have tried some very, very good cheesecake in my time.
18. Lamb - Apparently eating lamb isn't commonplace in the U.S. It is in Australia. "We love our lamb". So do I, especially roasted.
19. Cream tea - After looking it up I found this is the same as Devonshire Tea - the ol' tea and scones with jam and cream. I'm not big on tea but the scones are great.
20. Alligator - If I get the opportunity I'll try it. Maybe while I'm in Broome I'll get the chance to try crocodile.
21. Oysters - Another of the fabulous mollusc seafoods. Over in Ceduna we got half a dozen, half Kilpatrick, half Florentine. I adored the florentine. I prefer my oysters (and all of my seafood) cooked.
22. Kangaroo - I'm an Aussie, of course I've eaten roo! :) One wonders why the sell some as pet meat then charge a fortune for the stuff for human consumption - what's the big difference?
23. Chocolate - Mmmm, chocolate... Cadbury's or Lindt thanks.
24. Sandwiches - What's so great about sandwiches? Like pizza - sandwiches can be REALLY good or REALLY bad.
25. Greek food - Greek food, Lebanese food, Moroccan food. It's all awesome.
26. Burgers - Yes, I have eaten burgers (I made myself one last night). Again, some are really good and some are really bad.
27. Mexican food - Me love Mec-i-can. So long as it's not too hot.
28. Squid - Sweet Lips light & tasty squid legs. *droolz*
29. American diner breakfast - I take it this is bacon, eggs, tomatoes, hash brown, sausage, mushroom etc? Yeah I've had that, but not at an American style diner. Screw paying $11+ just for breakfast, I'll make my own thanks.
30. Salmon - I have eaten salmon, but not much. If this means freshwater salmon, I'm not big on freshwater fish, tastes too muddy. I like my seafoods.
31. Venison - Mmm deer. Venison and roo meat are very similar.
32. Guinea pig - If I had the opportunity I'd give it a go. I'll try anything once.
33. Shark - Shark is one of the cheaper fish available in Aussie fish & chip shops. I wonder why it's such a delicacy in the U.S.
34. Sushi - SUSHI!SUSHI!SUSHI!SUSHI!SUSHI! *craves*
35. Paella - I made a paella a couple of weeks ago. I would like to try a proper Spanish paella however.
36. Barramundi - I had a big barra fillet for dinner a few nights ago.
37. Reindeer - Give me a steak, I'll eat it. :)
38. Kebab - As in yiros kebabs? How many times have we been to Nick's and Plaka's guys?
39. Scallops - My favourite mollusc seafood.
40. Australian meat pie - Again, can be really good or really bad. Cheapo frozen supermarket pies have been found to contain large amounts of offal, foreign meat and mouse shit. The offal and foreign meat I don't have a huge problem with, the mouse shit I do. Then the South Australians go and dump on a pile of mushy peas and douse it in tomato sauce and call it a delicacy - sickos...
41. Mango - Had it a last Thursday - made a salad involving mango and avacado - good stuff.
42. Durian fruit - I'm not sure if I would try this or not. I'll have to smell it first then decide.
43. Octopus - Occy is good, but not as good as most shellfish. (Yes, occy is technically a shellfish, if you define shellfish as a mollusc).
44. Ribs - I so need to have those BBQ Hawaiian ribs again.
45. Roast beef - Who in their right mind hasn't had roast beef? With horseradish and Yorkshire pudding and swimming in gravy! Mmmm.
46. Tapas - Turns out if you've eaten finger food, you've eaten tapas.
47. Jerk chicken/pork - I've eaten beef and roo jerky, does that count?
48. Haggis - I'd probably try it once. No idea if I'll like it or not.
49. Caviar - I've had fish roe on sushi. But never actually had a spoonful on a cracker or anything.
50. Cornish pasty - I don't like pasties much. I prefer a meat pie. ;)
