gemfyreWell, I'll bring you flowers instead. North-east corner of the uni has loads of these flowering in it at the moment.
Anigozanthus Manglesii - Mangles Kangaroo Paw - Western Australia's floral emblem.
Biogeography is cool, the whole dispersal/migration vs. vicariance thing, I would write more but I'm tired so this will be in note form.
I like noticing things other people don't. I can ID a lot of birds just from seeing a sillhoette and the flight pattern.
Ron Wooler was saying how he remembers when there were no doves in Perth. In my lifetime I'm observing the steady migration east of the pest species rainbow lorikeets. A couple of years ago I would see them occaisionally here, now I see them often. *frowns*
I've also noticed that senegal doves, which used to be the more common species are now being overtaken by spotted doves, which used to be the not so common species.
I meant to do some genetics stuff tonight but I had a spa and am now really really tired and should go to bed and not forget my lab coat tomorrow.
