gemfyreThere are so many auto-immune diseases among human beings. Why? Why does this system, evolved to protect us from infection, often turn around and attack us instead?
Maybe because we so often try to bypass it's role with medicines, transplants, surgery, whatever.
I don't think the human immune system knows what it's meant to do anymore. It's probably thinking to itself, "Fine, you think you don't need me eh? You think all these pills will do the job better than me? Well fuck you then!" *CHOMP*
heh, sometimes you just can't write things in a proper, objective, scientific way. Oh well. Lucky this is LJ and not a peer reviewed journal. *grinz*
