I love my dreams

gemfyreHrm, a dream with elements of Sherlock and Game of Thrones - makes perfect sense. I’ve no idea where the X-men angle comes in though. “You” is kinda me, but it was kind of someone else too. You know how dreams can be. As for the whole invisibility trick - my mind conjured that quickly AFTER I woke.
So, there’s some science facility?
Anyway, there’s a room, in that room if you close your eyes, you’re invisible. To anyone who may be watching.
Now, a person intimately familiar with that room (which seems to be large and white and somewhat industrial and possibly has a swimming pool of all things in the centre) you could move about quite confidently with your eyes closed. If you were blind it might be even easier.
The thing is, if you ARE sighted, it takes a lot of willpower to KEEP your eyes closed while moving about, even if you’re just sitting still but not wanting to sleep. Try it. Your eyes will keep flickering open, for a peek, to orientate yourself, to remind your brain not to switch off. Of course, every time your eyes open you flicker into visibility once more.
In the dream you and a collegue have come into the room looking for someone, or chasing someone. You can’t remember.
Someone is in the room with you. Someone moving about so confidently that they pass you multiple times and the only evidence is the flutter of breeze at their passing.
Eventually you climb up onto some structure at the side of the room and settle in to wait. You close your eyes.
Now, if YOU were confident to move around the room with your eyes closed, you could possibly sneak out. Hoping that whoever else was in there with you was looking the other way as a door swung open then closed again as you exited. Instead, you snooze.
You wake and look up, to see a door at the far end of the facility swing open and as he steps out a man becomes visible. Dressed all in black - black shoes, black slacks, black turtleneck. Blonde hair. Carrying a silencer-equipped pistol. Really, it makes sense that this is what a modern Jamie Lannister may wear and wield (the identity of this person is clear IN the dream). He turns briefly, and seems to spot you as you quickly close your eyes again, pretend to be asleep still. But he comes back into the room and starts to slowly approach the corner where you are…
Then the alarm wakes you up. Crap.
