God knows. Both stink and are deeply unpleasant and hazardous for anyone nearby who DOESN'T want to be smelling/inhaling the stuff.

I vote to abolish both. Get your THC and nicotine some less bothersome way.

Actually, for the very reasons you mention, a lot of medicinal cannabis patients have taken to edibles, tinctures, or even sublingual and body sprays. I can't speak about the merely recreational users, but anyone who hangs out in any public space spewing smoke is a bit of a jerk.

I agree that the smoking of things should be banned from public areas and strictly regulated where it is done (to prevent exposure to children in the home), however I think the why is this illegal/why is this legal argument is more appropriate with regard to alcohol v marijuana. Because they both intoxicate, cigarettes more-or-less don't.

I hate the smell of cig smoke, but love the smell of a joint. When my roomies are tearing apart the buds I always go and take a big 'ole sniff. They think i'm odd, but ah well. You can also get rid of weed smoke smell a lot earier than cig smell.
