Karaoke freaks v Boxing bogans

gemfyreWell, tonight Kitty and I returned to the karaoke scene where Norbert has a gig up in Joondalup. It was finals nights for a comp that's been going on there so we'd figure we'd get in a song or two then cheer on the competitors.
We get to the bar and there are cars EVERYWHERE. I'm like, "WTF, this is Joondalup on a Wednesday night!"
Danny Green fight was on wasn't it? Norbert was none too pleased, the place was packed with rowdy boxing fans and all the big screens had it on and it was loud. No karaoke was going to happen until the match was over.
So of course, all of us karaoke nuts kinda wished for a quick TKO.
We got our wish I guess. The other bloke had some severe issue because he collapsed like a soccer player who'd been gently nudged in the back after 30 seconds and didn't get back up.
Some bogan chick with her pants almost around her ankles (I seriously wanted to stick coins in her buttcrack or something) went slightly psycho and demolished a table before storming out. Whatever.
The bar quickly emptied out after that and we got on with our karaoke.
Old Bailey Tavern is pretty nice otherwise, lots of tables and chairs, a decent dancefloor and a massive stage. I think we shall be going back. Pity it's Wednesday night but you can't have everything.
