I've heard a lot of lyrics wrongly in my time. But I think the band I hear often that has the most appaling diction has to be Divinyls.

"I don't want anybody else" in I Touch Myself sounds to me like, "I don't boop anybody else."

This morning on the radio they played the song that I discovered is actually called Sleeping Beauty.

In it was a mysterious line that sounded to me something like "Down in my weetie pop." Apparently the line is "What am I waiting for." I would NEVER have guessed that.
