I guess I thought it was an appropriate thing to do right after quitting my job? Hehe.
Well, we went to see it today and it looked good and fixable and the price was good... We actually offered a bit lower than the asking price, not expecting them to take it right off the bat, but they did. and the repayments will be not too much more than we're paying in rent now (and our rent is much lower than market, too!)
and... yeah. Luke's the one who put in the offer; I am technically committed to nothing (due to impending unemployment) but I am gonna put up half the deposit and hopefully will get reemployed in time to keep up with the repayments. Otherwise he'll cover them on his own until I am.
'Tis here. Doesn't look great, but that's the point. Shouldn't take much to fix it up.
Put me down for the quiz nite for now; I'll be through my notice period by then, so hopefully will be energised and not exhausted as usual.
