- The Fauna Management Course was awesome, but bloody exhausting. 5am starts, some nights didn't get to bed until 10, but the average was 9/9:30.
- My clothes still smell of smelly bait. Rolled oats, meat meal, sardines, fish oil and chicken fat. Anyone have any ideas how to get the smell out of clothes?
- Smelly bait is meant to attract chuditch and not so many woylies. We caught 6 woylies, 2 chuditch and 4 possums with it.
- Chuditch are soooo cute! And so docile to handle. Interesting that the carnivores are the easiest to deal with.
- Woylies are psychos in traps, they bounce around and hurt themselves and turf out their joeys (lucky that didn't happen this course - but it's happened every other one). Woylies eat fungi mainly - hrmmm, maybe that explains things.
- Possums are also cute, but their claws are nasty. And some just have shitty temperaments.
- Caught 3 frogs in pit traps - a record. Then the next day's group got 5. *rolls eyes*
- 3 new lizard species for me, 1 new frog.
- I discovered that if you have lived in the country all your life, you may not have heard of Weird Al Yankovic (don't worry, I intend to fix that).
- Catering was awesome.
- A couple of the days some bananas appeared in the fruit bowl - I managed to yoink one and eat it all, although I was made to feel terribly guilty even though I DID offer to share it.
- Matresses sucked, you lay on them and hit the wood underneath.
- That'll do for now.

Vinegar - I've heard - is good for nullifying scents, and can even be used to house-train dogs who have already developed the habit of going in certain areas of the house because the 'smell' is familiar. It needs to be white vinegar, which was even used as a deoderant (I don't know why), the vinegar in turn washes out okay. I've also heard that tomato juice is pretty good at masking scent, and has been used to clean people who have been skunked in the states.

I've already tried the vinegar and it hasn't totally gotten rid of the smell.

I have a feeling that it will fade out after a few washes though.
