Count the headlights on the highway

Must be something about Tiny Dancer. I've only had the opportunity to sing it twice (Norbert doesn't have it, so I've only sung it from other KJs lists).

First time I sang it I got invited to participate in the karaoke contest at Sorrento. I didn't get far but it was something.

I do the song tonight at Guildford. First I get an invite to compete in "Telethon Idol" (Sarah did too). $5 donation to Telethon as entry, chance to win from a $10,000 prize pool. May as well give it a shot. That's Thursday night at 7:30 at the Guildford Hotel.

Second, around 11:30 they announce the nightly prizes. Some guy wins the second prize of a dinner for two at some restaurant. My name is called up for first prize (!!!). I won $100. Sweet. Sarah won the $100 the first night we checked out Guildford. The place doesn't have the atmosphere of KK's, but it DOES have prizes.

Now to decide what to sing next Thursday. Heh, I probably should do Tiny Dancer.

It's a bit of a dive, but they pay you to sing. I like them. ;)

Now next week firvulag, mix_o_choc and jakie_em have to come along so we can make it a trifecta!
