What I didn't get, was if she could do anything she wanted and was ruled be feelings/emotions, why did she stand around looking stunned and stupid all the time?
indeed. the rogue fans were all pissed about that and totally missed the end bits where the cure suprisingly doesn't work to notice the one big thing in the movie being that they really only used jean grey as a plot device and nothing more
It was however quite an enjoyable movie that fitted in with the storyline of the first couple of movies. possibly more self-consistent than some comic book threads can be...
Did you stay through the end credits? It gives more foreshadowing... and Jean supposedly died in X2 as well, what makes you think she's really dead this time? LOL
Jean Grey will be back as the Phoenix - Destroyer of planets etc ... it's just a massive build up. The director wants to make this into a proper movie series not just a trilogy. Oh and god knows when Rogue will absob Marvel Girl into her and send her into a permanent coma (it's how she ultimately gains her ass kickin' powers ya see). Plus I want to see spin-off story lines such as Storm confronting Sauron and Angel turning into Achangel (metal wings equiped with missile feathers and all) and where the hell is Jubilee? Did I miss her?
